MachineMapper helps you reduce the amount of bandwidth it takes to deliver your high quality content to your users. MachineMapper is an Internet Server Application Programming Interface (ISAPI) filter for Internet Information Server (IIS) that compresses data requested from a web server. MachineMapper reduces the amount of bandwidth required to transfer data from a web server to an end user.
Features
 Support for HTTP 1.0
This option allows compression to be turned on or off for users who are trying to request compressed pages using the HTTP 1.0 specification. The HTTP 1.0 specification was not introduced with content encoding but if an HTTP 1.0 request for content encoding occurs then the data is compressed and sent.
Support for Microsoft IIS 4, 5.X, & 6 on Microsoft Windows NT/2000/XP/.NET
MachineMapper works on all Windows platforms that support IIS and ISAPI filter plugins. It works with the latest versions of Microsoft IIS and ensures compatibility with older versions of Microsoft IIS as well.
Easy Installation and Setup
MachineMapper comes with easy-to-use install and uninstall programs. The install program allows for maximum customization while maintaining an easy installation process. The uninstall application removes content that other ISAPI plugins might leave behind.
Change Settings Without Restarting
Unlike most ISAPI filters, MachineMapper incorporates the ability to change all related settings without having to restart the server. This allows for a much easier setup, installation, and configuration of all of MachineMapper's features.
Standalone GUI Interface
MachineMapper comes with a standalone GUI configuration tool that allows you to configure all of the application's many features. It's easy to use and has support for simple migration of settings from one server to another.
MMC Free Zone
Forget about having problems with MMC snap-ins, which are often cumbersome and a hassle to deal with. All ISAPILabs plugins are self-contained and do not require MMC snap-ins to perform statistical analysis.
Logging
No ISAPI plugin would be complete without a logging feature. MachineMapper includes detailed messages about what is happening behind the scenes and gives you information that tells you exactly what MachineMapper is doing for you.
